Victoria is a south-eastern Australian State that represents the second smallest state in land area. Though the main city of Victoria – Melbourne – is the second biggest city of Australia.
Wherever you go in Victoria, there is some interesting place to visit. One of those places and Great Ocean Road is one of them. The road is Australia’s best scenic drive and you may encounter koalas and kangaroos along the way. This road takes tourists to the 12 apostles – 12 rocks that are laid out in the ocean and that have not yet been destroyed by erosion.
Subclass 190
This is a point tested visa for skilled workers wanting to live and work in Victoria permanently. Three streams are available for skilled workers living in Victoria, skilled workers living offshore and onshore.
To be eligible for a 190 visa, individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Be under the age of 45 years old;
- Have at least “Competent” English level;
- Being able to score at least 65 points test;
- Have an occupation one of the legislated lists;
- Have a positive skills assessment for the occupation that you are applying for under a 190 visa
- Be committed to work and live in the State of Victoria
Individuals that are interested to pursue a 190 visa application to the State of Victoria must submit their interest through an application called EOI (Expression of Interest). Applicants may or may not be invited to apply. The EOI (Expression of Interest) application is valid for a period of 2 years.
Subclass 491
This is a points testing visa for skilled workers leading to permanent residency and requiring workers to be employed and live in regional Victoria.
To be eligible for a 190 visa, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Onshore applicants must be living and working in regional Victoria at the time of nomination. Employment proof will be required from onshore applicants.
- Offshore applicants need to submit a Registration of Interest in any eligible occupation that are on a 491 Victoria Occupation list. Health occupations will be prioritised.
- Be under the age of 45 years old;
- Meet English level requirements – the English test must have at least 12 weeks validity remaining.;
- Being able to score at least 65 points test;
- Have an occupation in the 491 Victoria State list
- Have a positive skills assessment for the occupation that you are applying for under a 190 visa
- Be committed to work and live in a regional area in the State of Victoria
Individuals that are interested to pursue a 491 visa application to the State of Victoria must submit their interest through an application called ROI (Registration of Interest). Applicants may or may not be invited to apply.
