One of the criteria for visa 482 is that the position offered has been posted in 3 job advertisements nationwide, one of which is mandatorily posted on the Workforce Australia platform.
Commonly, business managers and owners complain about the Workforce Australia platform, as they require a few steps to post the job advertisement.
First, the business must be registered with MyGovID. Registration with MyGovID is often painful as it requires documentary proof from the company owner. This involves the submission of documents that are often not handy. Other than that, to finalise the registration with MyGovID, the business needs to contact them by phone to confirm their information. Only after creating the MyGovID the business is able to post the job advertisement on the Workforce Australia platform.
Other than that, sometimes MyGovID prevents access that can only be granted upon a request which the MyGovID team has a period of up to 28 days to resolve.
The most common complaint among business owners and managers is that the MyGovID registration process is time consuming. In addition, this can be a decisive factor for business owners/managers to withdraw from the sponsorship process.
Unfortunately, the mandatory posting of job advertisements on the Workforce Australia platform for TSS purposes is not a choice and still permeates one of the conditions imposed in the sponsorship program.
