Principal
Ross is the Principal Solicitor at Crystal Migration and brings over 16 years of experience in Australian immigration law. He advises across corporate, individual, and business migration pathways, and is highly regarded for his work in audit, compliance, and global mobility strategy.
Before founding Crystal, Ross held senior roles at Fragomen and KPMG, where he developed end-to-end migration solutions for ASX-listed companies, Fortune 500 clients, and global HR teams. His ability to align immigration advice with business goals has positioned him as a trusted advisor in both legal and commercial contexts.
Having migrated to Australia from Tajikistan, Ross brings a personal understanding to the immigration process. He is known for his strategic approach and empathetic client care, ensuring each matter is handled with clarity and confidence.
Ross holds degrees in Law and Media & Communications from the University of Technology Sydney and is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia. He speaks English and Russian.
Senior Immigration Lawyer & Solicitor, Immigration Practice Leader
Zana is a senior lawyer at Crystal Migration, leading the immigration legal team with a focus on corporate and employer-sponsored migration. She specialises in temporary and permanent sponsorships, training visas, labour agreements, DAMAs, and complex visa strategies.
Zana holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Macquarie University. She began her legal career in criminal law before finding her passion in migration—an area she has remained committed to ever since.
Known for her practical, solution-focused approach, Zana guides clients through the complexities of migration law with clarity, care, and precision.
Outside of work, she enjoys curating beautiful interiors and indulging in skincare rituals.
Senior Immigration Lawyer
Mayumi is a dual-qualified lawyer in Brazil and Australia, with a strong international background across private practice, in-house legal teams, and government agencies. She holds a Master of International Commercial Law from the University of Queensland, a Juris Doctor with Distinction from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of São Paulo.
Her career spans experience at a top-tier Australian firm, in-house legal work, and roles within the Brazilian Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office.
As a migrant herself, Mayumi has navigated four different visa pathways before achieving permanent residency—an experience that informs her deeply empathetic and creative approach to migration law.
She speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish fluently, and has intermediate proficiency in French.
Outside of work, Mayumi is passionate about dancing (especially bachata and salsa), yoga (anywhere—studios, airports, you name it), reading, and cooking. She has a knack for turning everyday chats into insightful health and wellness monologues.
Registered Migration Agent, Compliance Coordinator
Juan began his migration journey as an international student from Venezuela, arriving in Australia to study English—never imagining it would become home.
With a legal background from Venezuela and firsthand experience navigating the Australian visa system, Juan developed a strong interest in migration law. He is currently completing the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice while working as a Registered Migration Agent and Compliance Coordinator at Crystal.
Juan is passionate about guiding others through their migration journeys, helping them understand their options and achieve meaningful outcomes.
In his spare time, he enjoys travel, learning about different cultures, and sunny days at the beach.
Legal Secretary
Matheus is originally from Brazil and began his legal career in 2018, specialising in corporate, contract, and tax law. His work with multinational clients took him to Ireland, where he earned a Master’s in Dispute Resolution and improved his English skills.
It was during this time abroad that he discovered his interest in migration law, which eventually led him to Australia in 2023.
Now part of the Crystal team in Sydney, Matheus brings global perspective, strong administrative skills, and a genuine passion for supporting clients in navigating complex legal systems.
He enjoys travelling and playing football (soccer) in his downtime.
Immigration Consultant
Gareth is a dedicated migration professional at Crystal Migration, bringing a unique blend of firsthand global experience and academic rigor to his role. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Finance from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and is currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Migration Law at Western Sydney University.
With over a decade of experience in senior finance and banking roles across both public and private market multinational companies, Gareth has developed strong analytical and client management skills.
His personal migration journey is extensive, having lived in Latin America for more than 10 years, and holding a wide range of visas including an investor visa in Brazil and work visas in both Mexico and Ecuador. These experiences have given him deep empathy and insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by migrants.
After returning to Australia, Gareth’s interest in migration law was ignited through assisting with family visa processes.
He is passionate about the positive impact of responsible migration on individuals and communities alike.
Outside of work, Gareth enjoys travelling, sports, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Immigration Lawyer
Mariam holds qualifications in both Business and Law and has worked in migration for over six years. Her interest in people, cultures, and the power of a new beginning led her to a career in immigration, where she continues to find deep purpose and connection.
At Crystal, Mariam delivers personalised, empathetic support to clients, helping them navigate legal processes with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature, and cooking.

Born and raised in Cambodia, Kim relocated to Sydney in 2018 to pursue further education and has since completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
He supports the Crystal Migration Training team with administrative coordination, enrolments, and client support, helping ensure the training arm runs smoothly and efficiently.
Kim is passionate about personal growth, helping others, and developing his career within the business and education space.
